My Princesses :)

Growing up is one of the many wonders of the world, going from a teeny baby to an old person; although this happens over many years you never really understand the process of growing up until you see it in someone else. This year my nephew reached his fifth birthday and my niece her second: to see my beautiful babies grow up is so beautiful, I've watched them grow into their own person and gain their personality. I've watched them at their naughtiest (and sometimes encouraged it to annoy my sister! ha-ha) and I've also watched them learn from mistakes as everyone does through their life, only minor mistakes for example putting their shoes on the wrong feet!

Over the last few weeks I have seen my beauties grow- these being my best friends puppies, before going to university my best friends Westie, Bella, was expecting puppies and they were due around Christmas time, another reason to be excited for coming home! On November 20th my beautiful balls of fluff were born, Bella had three puppies but one sadly died :( and the others were born about 2 hours later, when the family thought no more were there! I remember going home that weekend just to see them, and oh my- they were so small and felt like my own baby: the rush of love I already got from one glace at my princesses was magical! I have watched them grow and adapt into the cheeky personalities they are now at almost 6 weeks old. They have grown from the size of my hand and don't seen to stop growing, I've watched as their eyes slowly open and their fur starts to grow, their first steps being taken and their teeth starting to grow: one of them is the cheekiest while the other is more reserved and scared although slowly is getting more playful.

They really are my Christmas Princesses!

'tis the season to be jolly...

So, it's Christmas time and I'm home in Lampeter! wooo :)
It's so nice to be back and to spend this festive time with my family, friends, people closest to me and most importantly to relax and take a break from university (even though I do miss my hall mates!). The build up to Christmas is so exciting, wrapping presents, the Christmas music in every shop, and all the bright lights! I woke up on Christmas morning and the hype had definitely built in the house, the smell of food cooking and all the presents under the tree! The day was spent with my best people: my family although I did have the flu so it did put a downer on the day :(
So the day has been and gone- way too fast for my liking and the pounds are slowly piling on but hey it is Christmas! :))

I'm getting angry...

During our lesson today we were asked to create an animation, after watching The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, I decided I would create an animation on the transformation of Jacob Black into a wolf when he is angry... Here is my animation: Image and video hosting by TinyPic

My reflective process

Everyone has their own brain and different ways of thinking, I have decided to show my own reflective process via this brain storming.

Racing- It's not only for boys ;)

When researching cars, racing cars in particular the only thing that came to mind was tight leather outfits, helmets, screeching tyres and Tracy Chapman's fast car!

I have little interest in cars, mainly because I can not comprehend the functions of a car, all I know is- it moves. I have always thought I have problems with my beast, (my 54' plate punto) which turn out to be nothing other than a noise in the boot or I haven't put the petrol cap on properly- Sorry paps for making you always check it!

Back to racing cars: I have no interest in Formula 1 or any racing programmes on the telly, occasionally I would go to a rally in the outbacks of Lampeter because i got dragged by Daniel! :|

I therefore found it difficult to find this topic interesting, so, I put a twist on it; I imagined myself driving round in a pink  Zenvo ST1, going from 0-60 in 2.9 seconds. Driving on the small country roads in Lampeter, or catching everyones eyes as I drive through Swansea feeling like Penelope Pitstop.

What is a blog?!

During our last task we were asked to research specific topics, mine was Cars! I decided to narrow this search to racing cars and many different sites came up; by looking through these different pages I discovered the difference between a blog and an actual website.

A blog has many different characteristics compared to a website, for example: a blog is updated regularly and is very personal to the topic it is based, it includes the persons own opinions and feedback on a subject they are writing about for example, 'All by myself I have, with no help from nobody else no sir-ee so nerrr.'
Adding your own comments, photos and videos are more characteristics to a blog, a blogger can upload photos of their favourite cars or their dream cars, they can also upload their home made videos to a blog, as well as comments on another blog.
Blogs are also dated, therefore you can see when the blog was last updated and if it is relevant to recent times. Links to both twitter, facebook and other social networking sites are also on a blogging page, as well as tabs to different websites!

In contrast a website is very formal, the layout is completely different to a blog and the background is often dark and inviting. The website has hyperlinks to other pages on the internet and also different pages on the same site!
A webiste can also try to sell offers, for example the tab at the top "Cars for sale". Different to a blog, a website also has a contact us page showing that there are admin to the webiste.

Myself :)

My names Erin Mason-George and in 1993 a miracle happened, I was born. Jokes! I'm 18 years old and have recently moved to Swansea from a town in West Wales called Lampeter. Moving to Swansea was a big step from small town to city and leaving all my family and friends but I knew this was the career path I wanted to take; I am currently studying BA (Hons) Educational studies in Swansea Metropolitan University and hope to become a primary school teacher (although I have to retake my math GCSE to be accepted for a PGCE! Weh!).
I have moved into Dyfed halls on the townhill campus and loving life on K floor: it's become my second family and after a few weeks I even found myself calling it 'home'. I've already created so many memories and also life-long friends and there are loads more memories and experiences yet to come so keep checking and I'll let you all in on them :) tra boys.
